Post-doctoral research project on gibbon behaviour, scocio-ecology, feeding behaviour,
nutritional intake, singing, and density and population study. There are 5 habituated
groups of gibbons with more groups being habituated.

Field site:
One of the last remnants of primary lowland forest in the Balikpapan-Samarinda area
and indeed most of east Kalimantan. Three field stations present. An established
trail system and a large number of botanical plots.

White-fronted leaf monkey (Presbytis frontata)
Maroon leaf monkey (Presbytis rubicunda)
