Comments:
The research project is part of FFI Indochina's Gibbon Conservation Project, and
so is linked to conservation activities in Che Tao, including:
- Setting up Forest Stewardship Councils;
- Education of the local people in the importance of preserving the forest and the
gibbons;
- Hunting bans on gibbons and rufous-necked hornbills;
- Feasibility Study to assign protected area status, creating Che Tao Species/Habitat
Protection Area (a sub-unit of Nature Reserve).
